PARENTS HELPING PARENTS — WITHOUT TURNING THE COMMUNITY INTO AN ADVICE FREE-FOR-ALL
Community
Best Chance is more than software. The community should help families feel less alone, contribute evidence, celebrate progress and take part in practical change — with clear moderation, privacy and advice boundaries.

Be the Solution
Help a parent. Contribute expertise. Ask a question. Share an approved story. Fund access. Help evidence change. Participation should be concrete rather than vague activism.
Share safely
Private evidence, aggregated learning, anonymised story use and public story permission should remain separate choices so parents do not accidentally consent to more than they intended.
- Private supportHelp for you, seen only by the people supporting you.
- Learning from what happenedPermission to learn from your experience so the picture improves, without your name attached to it.
- A public storyPermission to share your experience publicly, in your own words, with your name on it only if you choose.
- Promoting Best ChancePermission to use your story to tell other families this exists. Always a separate ask, never assumed from any of the above.
Community Projects
Parents should be able to submit a situation or project where the wider community may be able to help, subject to review, safeguarding and realistic scope.
Ways to take part
Each of these has its own page. Most open with the product, and the rest fill up as real families and real people choose to take part.
- Show I care
Stand alongside families going through this, without having to be in it yourself.
- I experienced this too
Add your experience to the picture, on your own terms.
- Parent stories
Experiences shared with consent, in the parent’s own words.
- Celebrate your win
Mark something that went right, however small it looks from outside.
- Parent ambassadors
How parents who have been through this will help other parents find their way in.
- Ask an expert
Where verified experts will answer the questions parents ask most often.
Celebrate progress
Wins can be recorded privately first. A later, non-intrusive invitation can ask whether the parent wants to share the story publicly.
Advice boundaries
Community members should not be presented as substitutes for qualified legal, clinical or safeguarding professionals. Moderation should keep personal data and vulnerable-family information out of unsafe public threads.
If you need help now
Taking part is for when you have the room for it. If today is about your own child, start here instead.
