REAL SEND QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS. ONE PRACTICAL NEXT MOVE.

Best Chance Live

Best Chance Live is the weekly phone-in for SEND parents: real questions, answered in plain English, each one ending in a single thing you can actually do next.

A small group sharing ideas around a table in a community library.

Every question on the programme comes from a parent, and every answer ends somewhere practical rather than trailing off into discussion. Nothing is invented to fill a schedule, so an episode, a clip or a guest appears only once it’s real: recorded, broadcast, and — for a guest — agreed to by the person named.

How the programme works

  • Real questions, not topicsA show starts from what parents are actually asking that week, in the words they asked it in, rather than from a conference title nobody would type into a search box.
  • One useful move at the endEvery question closes with one practical thing to do next. Understanding the system is not the point; knowing what to do on Monday morning is.
  • A weekday evening slotThe programme is built for Tuesday evenings at 8pm, once the day is done. A date you can put in a diary is one that has been confirmed, and those appear on Upcoming shows.
  • The answer outlives the hourA strong question becomes more than an hour of video: a written answer, a transcript, short clips, and a route into whichever check or guidance page covers it, so the programme keeps working after it ends.
  • Checked before it is saidAnswers are held to the same accuracy, safeguarding and professional-scope rules as the rest of the site. Where a situation needs a solicitor or a clinician, the honest answer is to say so on air.
  • The product, workingWhere it helps, a question is put through Best Chance on screen — the finding, the evidence check, the prepared next move — rather than described.

Where the questions come from

The programme is built out of what parents send in. The submit page sets out what to send, what stays private, and what happens to a question once it arrives.
